Geoinformative was founded in 2023 by Paul Nolan, a committed data specialist with over 30 years of experience working with clients throughout the project lifecycle. Through Geoinformative, Paul has created a consultancy where clients can directly access combined geomatics and data management expertise and support.
Previously, Paul was the Principal Advisor in Geomatics at a large multi-disciplinary consultancy, providing expertise in project support, geodesy, GIS and spatial data management, supporting both field operations and office-based projects.
For many years he has been responsible for the specialised technical support, management and delivery of a wide variety of projects in the offshore, nearshore and onshore environment, both remotely and in the field.
His knowledge covers project and data management, survey pre-planning, tendering, quality assurance, training, data acquisition, and database maintenance - including data collection, computation, management, presentation and interrogation. He has gained widespread experience working for many energy, alternative energy and non-energy industry related projects.
He has a degree in surveying from the University of New South Wales and an MSC (Distinction) in Engineering Surveying and Geodesy from the University of Nottingham.
